I am anon smoker however I wanted to thank you Dr. You are among the rare doctors who promotes the smoke free policies I guess! I wish more people would write to governements to let them know that they had enough of second hand smokes into apartment buildings, parks, in the front of stores, movie theatre.. Great video ! Wise!

I’m 29 years old and smoking sucks!!!trust me!!!I’m a 15 year x smoker…I quit 2 days after watching this video…It is now day 12 without a smoke….I’m not saying the video made me quit but it did help.Thanks for posting this video…

smoking isnt addictive i gave up for more then a year easly was only hard because i enjoyed my smokes it was like telling myself im not to have sex again.but i started again because i felt ill all the time,sneezing was sentive to dust,everything smelt horrible ,was putting on wieght was tired all the time and life just felt dull got to the point where ironing felt like fun ….so i started again as a choice but is better this time because i know i can stop but just dont want too

Wrong man, you fail …
Wrong man, you fail yourself if you say that and you do indeed smoke, you make it harder for others to quit with that negativity. It is possible to stop and its hard but once you crack it, its much easyer to giveup again if you just had say a few due to temptation, soon as you say I’m not having one you’re a none smoker.

Its a choice.

I stopped but I gave in to temptation twice however it was my chioce not because I feel I’m addicted to them. I smoked 2 packs of 10 cigs last weekend and then just stopped as if I had not smoked them. I stoped at the end of may and it occured to me that I’m not addicted to smoking and I never was I just thought I was. So to me its a choice, you either smoke or you don’t but if you stop its going to make you feel bad because its a posion leaving the body.

Great approach. Annoying bachground noise on video. The UK government collect £9000,000,000a year from tax on cigarettes – they don’t want us to stop smoking. On top of that the industry & shops that sell cigarettes don’t want you to stop smoking…good reasons to stop!
