  • Can I be hypnotized to be interested in something?

Posted by admin on February 8th, 2010 and filed under hypnotized | 4 Comments »

I do well in grad school, but the subjects are incredibly boring. Can I be hypnotized to be interested in the subjects I am studying? Please no lectures about picking another profession. Keep the answers to the question at hand.

Keep your eye on the prize. Maybe also finding new perspective on your course of study. I do not recommend hypnosis for anything. Hope all goes well:] It will be over before you know it.

No one likes it, but if they are a bit easy then just do it!

Absolutely! You’ve already "hypnotized" yourself into thinking the subjects are boring by telling yourself that they are time and time again.

if you think about it, from an objective point of view, there is no subject that is literally "boring" by definition. I have always struggled with math and therefore would tell people "Gee I just can’t stand math… math is so boring!"

By doing that I was just reinforcing the belief in myself that the subject was boring-a form of self-hypnotism or auto-suggestion.

Try telling yourself AND other people ;) that you "Love ___ (subject)" and over time, you will come to change your beliefs about it. When you change your thinking, you change your beliefs. By changing your beliefs you will affect the way you behave.

Now I tell people that I love math and that it’s easy for me. Even though it was weird in the beginning, I began to discover that some aspects of math weren’t all that bad. And believing that I loved math and that it was easy for me made it a heck of a lot easier to pick up my financial management textbook when it was time to study!

Best of luck to you <3

Probably , at least temporarily, i happen to think that it would wear off eventually and our true feelings would come back around…….
I dont think one has to hypnotize them selves……..just accept your feelings and choose to sudy and find something interesting in them……I use EFT for this…….you could try it for free below, if you want to
