hypnosis, has anyone had it done and does it work – see DETAILS please before answering??
Hypnosis, as far as I am aware, is NOT where the hypnotherapist puts you in a trance and brainwashes or controls you. That’s all poppycock and movie-style hypnosis, therapeutic hypnosis works on dealing with subconscious issues. It’s very healing and there’s medical proof of it working, so that’s not the issue.
my question is this….. is the REAL type of hypnotherapy helpful to YOU, did YOU have a good experience?
has anyone done it to break addictions or for weight loss?
I am signed up for a 5 week hypnotherapy service and I want to hear other’s success stories/bad experiences.
I had five sessions prior to having major surgery. During the surgery, I listened to the tape of it as I was "going under."
After the surgery, my surgeon, who didn’t think it would work, was amazed at how little I bled. My recovery time should have been at least a week, but I left the hospital in three days. When I say major surgery, I mean it took 65 staples to close the opening, so I’m not kidding.
That’s the only thing I’ve ever had it for, but my husband tried it to quit smoking. The only thing was, he was in a room with 150 other people. That’s not conducive to relaxation and it didn’t work for him. I believe if he’d had private sessions, as I did, it would have worked.
Side note: He finally did quit smoking through acupuncture. If the hypnotherapy doesn’t help you, maybe you can try the acupuncture.
Good luck!!!
