I tried self hypnosis but all I can do is make myself relax. What do I need to do to make my self see certain things, like something happening to my body or something like that?
Smoke alot of pot and maybe some acid. That should do it. Good luck.

I,m doing self hypnosis since few months, and recently im practicing meditation also.
Can they both work well for me.
Whats ur view.
My view is that hypnosis is the opposite of meditation and weakens the mind.

I would like to try self-hypnosis or imagery to help with long distance running. Does anyone have experience or have suggestions?
Yes, you can use self-hypnosis to help visualize and help achieve goals! None of my friends have used hypnosis for long-distance running, but have overcome some phobias and stress using self-hypnosis. Email me if you want more info!
Generally you need to have a comfortable mental setting to establish a rhythm in which you can run with confidence and ease. Hope this helps!

I try to remain still and calm and then I repeat affirmations until I just blank out. I keep saying "I am confident and that I can do anything". Is this good?
There is a book by Paul McKenna called "Instant Confidence" that is supposed to be very good, it’s £5.49 from Amazon and has good reviews. My friend used it and said it was good

why does hypnosis work for these things?
Hello,
Paul McKenna has a book called ‘I can make you thin’ and comes with a hypnotic cd. Thousands of people have lost weight by this. Hypnosis works by changing old habits which might not now be so good and creating new more beneficial ones. The conscious rational mind is bypassed and suggestions made to the unconscious which is the seat of our habits etc.

Go to a second hand book store and buy a good book on hypnosis and self-suggestion. There’s also a lot of good content on the internet.

This is an induction used in my practice to render a state of Hypnosis in a client. You can use it to produce hypnosis and create a state of total relaxation- the technique can be used for self-hypnosis and repeated at any appropriate time to reduce stress, anxiety or increase motivation.
Often I use it to get a client into a state of mind to assist in the control of Chronic pain.

This is a serious question to those who have experience with hypnosis. I think it might be because I come out of it "too quickly". I like to listen to these "daytime" affirmation audios after listening to some audios with binaural beats that help me relax. I think the problem might be the lack of "suggestions" or audio to slowly get me back up to alpha state. Thoughts?
You are correct.coming up too fast can produce a headache very often
about 70%of the time.there should three to five steps, more is better. to get rid of the discomfort,go back in to trance, and visualize the discomfort as a hot red ball inside your head,Pack the ball until it is very small and let it pass out and drift away.come up slowly and you should be done with it.

An audio presented in video format with affirmations to build and improve self confidence.
from http://www.instantselfhypnosis.com : The following audio uses affirmations, relaxing sounds and binaural beats and you will relax deeper than you ever have before. If you focus on the affirmations your mind will be in a good state to implement the changes you desire.
Do NOT operate machinery while listening to this recording as it will relax you deeply. For best results sit in a relaxing chair, use stereo headphones and close your eyes to help your body relax deeply.
Background; Many years of research into the natural responses of the body (called bio-feedback) it has been uncovered that at a certain brainwave frequency called “Alpha”, your body goes through a natural relaxation response. This reduces stress automatically while increasing your attention, memory and sense of well being. You can read more about it in another article by Time Magazine called “Alpha Wave of The Future”.
