I do well in grad school, but the subjects are incredibly boring. Can I be hypnotized to be interested in the subjects I am studying? Please no lectures about picking another profession. Keep the answers to the question at hand.

Keep your eye on the prize. Maybe also finding new perspective on your course of study. I do not recommend hypnosis for anything. Hope all goes well:] It will be over before you know it.

I’m raising my 10 yr old grandson who has been in therapy for abandonment issues, anger management, etc. for the last 3 yrs
that he has been with me. Some of the things he has been through cannot be confirmed so I thought he might be able to be hypnotized
by a doctor to find out more. He sometimes is closed mouth about some things and his counselors would like him to open up more.

When working with children, I have noticed they often start out reluctant to speak with a pschologist about certain topics, but once they do they usually offer you their whole story. Does he go to a psychologist? Here are some things to think about when choosing someone for him to speak to:
-what does their office look like? Is there a comfortable place to sit? (preferrably the ceiling is high with large windows). Are there animals? Are there things to play with? Can he bring something he likes with him- like a toy (not so much a video game toy but more like a doll figure or stuffed toy)
-Have you taken him to a psychologist that offers therapy based around an activity he is interested in? Like art therapists, if he is creative. Or animal therapy, or play therapy.
- Is he in a group or one on one?
- Have you sat in with him on his first few visits? How does he get along with his counselor?
-Do you get a chance to meet with his counselor yourself- to update him on things going on in the childs life? Does he offer you advice on how to make the childs environment more comfortable?

He most certainly could be hypnotized if you wanted to take him. But make sure he is willing to go. You should talk to his counselor first, it is REALLY important to go to a psychologist and hypnotist who understand child development and have practiced with children in his situation before. Coersive questioning is the WORST possible thing that could happen. See if his counselor could reccomend someone. Meet with the hypnotist in private, ideally this person would be certified in hypnotherapy AND have some degree in child development. discuss the situation and what your goal is through hypnotherapy. The questions he asks should not be leading at all (this is really important!)
And of course, after his visit ask him if he liked it. If he doesnt want to go back then certainly dont make him go back.

If so, does anyone know of any videos that could hypnotize me? I’m dying to try it! Don’t worry about me, I’ll be safe. I have someone to wake me if it does work.

I most highly recommend going to a hypnosis show! They are so much fun and I was hypnotized at one by Jimi Gibson. I’ve answered a billion questions about hypnosis, so you can go and read some of those if you want to.

But there are also CD’s you can listen to to become hypnotized. You can even hypnotize yourself without a CD. I’ve done that before. A key thing is your eyes and hands, especially, feel heavy when you are under hypnosis. Try it sometime, it’s really fun!
